FFG continues to release old favorites and enhance them with modern app support. This automation of game mechanics allows a truly cooperative play experience that really shines with episodic adventure games such as Mansions of Madness. Best of all, the re-release has allowed us to revisit this classic and produce a storage solution for the 2nd edition of this FFG classic.
Our storage solution for Mansions of Madness includes ten (10) removable trays, including three (3) convenient railed monster storage trays, and is intended to be placed inside the publisher game box (FFG). The railed monster trays allow for the safe and protected storage of painted/unpainted minis. Everything else also has its place in our storage solution for Mansions of Madness.
This storage solution includes etched token names in the trays to indicate the location for each component so you will never wonder where something should be stored.
This storage solution provides:
- one (1) removable large railed monster mini storage tray with space for two (2) large monster minis with attached bases
- one (1) removable medium railed monster mini storage tray with space for six (6) medium monster minis with attached bases
- one (1) removable small railed monster mini storage tray with space for twenty (20) small monster minis with attached bases
- one (1) railed investigator mini storage tray with space for twelve (12) investigators
- one (1) removable top tray that provides storage for rulebooks
- one (1) removable tile tray for map tile storage
- one (1) removable shallow token storage tray
- one (1) removable deep token storage tray
- one (1) removable tray with storage for investigator cards/ID tokens
- one (1) removable small card storage tray for sleeved/unsleeved cards
Our railed mini storage trays allow you to mount and store your monster minis safely, but do require unadorned/unpainted bases. Also, the medium and small minis storage trays have room for two (2) additional minis each and the investigator tray has room for four (4) additional investigators. Note that you can forego the use of the rails and just build the minis bins and drop your minis in the bins. Your choice!
What Do You Need?
- If you own the 2ed base game and all seven expansions (Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories, Beyond the Threshold, Streets of Arkham, Sanctum of Twilight, Horrific Journeys, Path of the Serpent), you will need our MOM-001, MOM-002, MOM-003, MOM-004, and MOM-005 storage solutions to store everything. With these five inserts + core + seven (7) expansions, you will have room to store everything. In addition, you will have room to store additional small cards, investigator cards, dice, future tokens, many more map tiles, and fourteen (14) additional investigators (the MOM-001 top tray is used to store the jumbo map tiles).
- If you only own the base game (2ed), then you only need the MOM-001.
- If you own the base game and one expansion, you will need the MOM-001, MOM-002, and MOM-003 storage solutions, since the MOM-002 stores tiles and the MOM-003 stores investigators. If the one expansion that you own is Beyond the Threshold, you can get by with just a MOM-001 and MOM-002, but the two investigators from BtT will need to be stored in the MOM-001 top tray or elsewhere. If you do go ahead and get a MOM-003 as well, it would be empty except for the two investigators. Finally, if the one expansion you own is Streets of Arkham, Sanctum of Twilight, Horrific Journeys, or Path of the Serpent, you need the MOM-001 + MOM-004.
Product Notes
- This solution provides ten (10) removable trays.
- This insert can store sleeved / unsleeved small cards and sleeved / unsleeved investigator cards (FFG Tarot sleeves).
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 120 minutes of assembly time. I recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This insert kit weighs > 5 pounds, so it must be shipped USPS Priority Mail outside of Canada and the United States.
- This product is not officially licensed. All marks are the property of their respective owners.

I’ve been wanting an insert for MoM for a while, every time I play getting it all out turns up the insanity all on its own. So, I decided to use my go-to insert company. This one is pretty amazing. The slots for the monsters on bases proved to be the best part, if you have glued monsters to bases or painted minis this is absolutely essential and works amazing! Another great insert!

I couldn’t be happier with this kit – every part of the game is protected and has its own spot in the box. My only critique is that the tray for the character mini-figs doesn’t hold them in place due to a difference in the size of the base on the mini-fig – so I have to figure out a way to extend the railings to hold them. Other than that, I’m SUPER happy with this.

I purchased the Storage Bundle Solution, which included this and other individual MoM organizer sets.
Instructions were clear and it was fun to build. Took several hours. We had no trouble and were able to fit all of the MoM 2E base game pieces plus a few extras in this. The storage is rather ingenious and feels solid. Very happy with this particular solution, though the other expansion solutions in the larger bundle were much less useful.

I bought this the same day I bought MoM knowing that FFG was not going to have an insert inside the box that was going to hold the figures. It took me about 3 hours to assemble and then putting cards/tokens and figures in another 10 minutes. My only problem that I ran in to was that the top tray for spare tiles/rule books doesn’t fit the original books. I don’t think this is actually a problem with the G7G insert and more about when Fantasy Flight cut the books. They are quite literally about 1/32″ too big. Since buying this insert I’ve picked up two expansions and the sheets that come in the expansions fit in the top tray without any issue. Comparing them to the rule books shows that that the books are just slightly taller than the expansion sheets.

Previously, for large games with significant setup (e.g., Gloomhaven) I implemented my own storage solutions that are okay but inefficient. With MOM-001, a professional solution is so much better. Go7’s component quality is excellent and the final result is a solid and simple solution that will improve my gameplay experience (I also purchased MOM-004). The instructions are mostly clear and easy to understand. I highly recommend Go7 inserts, and appreciate the “Thank you” note on the packing slip.

We own all the strictly 2nd edition material/expansions, none of the 1st edition or the bridge expansions (Recurring…, Suppressed…).
MOM-001, -004 & -005 will house everything that’s strictly 2nd Ed. comfortably – minis, cards (sleeved or not), dice, tokens, map tiles etc., etc.
Note – I was initially shocked that the SoA insert (-004) did not include a single space for map tiles, but they fit in -001 book tray until I got -005 built…voila. Awesome! These three are perfect for all of 2nd edition.
Special mention: I placed two separate orders on the same day, idk, something like 6 hours apart maybe. I had resigned to paying for the shipping on both orders. Someone must have noticed, because they were shipped together and one of the shipping costs was dropped. Thank you! Very professional and above expectations.
Use glue! Read. Dry fit first! Highly recommended product.

This is a great DIY assembly kit and everything fits perfectly. Unlike Broken Token and other products, you do not need a hammer to join the components, but fiber bands really do help to clamp everything in place until the glue dries.

I mean this in both definitions of the word: the design is pretty ingenious, at least as good as the Broken Token ones that I’ve used in the past and very clever about storing all the minis. They physical engineering is much better than the Broken Token products. The pieces separate more easily from the frame, there’s much less need for a small hammer. My only criticism is that – despite Go7’s best efforts – it’s a little tricky to know which organizers you need if you have the base and MORE THAN ONE expansion. I think there are so many permutations that it’s hard for them to give perfect guidance.

This was my first purchase from Go7Gaming and even before I built I was ordered more. Everything fits together perfectly.

The shipping was REALLY fast. I liked that. The product itself was somewhat of a pain to put together. The pieces should have been labeled with a letter or some type of identifier. When i removed the tiles, pieces would fall from the tiles on their own creating a jumbled mess. Also a piece was missing from one of the tiles. (One of the tray dividers. )
