Our MOM-002 is an expansion storage solution that is designed to be slipped into the extremely thin expansion boxes FFG has used for the Mansions of Madness (Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories). This solution can also be used externally.

Our MOM-002 is an expansion storage solution that is designed to be slipped into the extremely thin expansion boxes FFG has used for the Mansions of Madness (Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories). This solution can also be used externally. If you plan to store it inside the manufacturer’s box, you will want to tape one end of the box shut to reinforce the box. We also taped the inside tab in the box on the taped end to further reinforce the box.
Our MOM-002 storage solution for Mansions of Madness provides:
- additional storage room for square and half-square tiles.
- 16 storage slots using our rail system for small monster minis.
Our railed mini storage system allows you to mount and store your monster minis safely, but do require unadorned/unpainted bases.
The large rectangular tiles can be stored in our base MOM-001 storage solution in the top tray with your manuals.
What Do You Need?
- If you own the 2ed base game and all seven expansions (Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories, Beyond the Threshold, Streets of Arkham, Sanctum of Twilight, Horrific Journeys, Path of the Serpent), you will need our MOM-001, MOM-002, MOM-003, MOM-004, and MOM-005 storage solutions to store everything. With these five inserts + core + seven (7) expansions, you will have room to store everything. In addition, you will have room to store additional small cards, investigator cards, dice, future tokens, many more map tiles, and fourteen (14) additional investigators (the MOM-001 top tray is used to store the jumbo map tiles).
- If you only own the base game (2ed), then you only need the MOM-001.
- If you own the base game and one expansion, you will need the MOM-001, MOM-002, and MOM-003 storage solutions, since the MOM-002 stores tiles and the MOM-003 stores investigators. If the one expansion that you own is Beyond the Threshold, you can get by with just a MOM-001 and MOM-002, but the two investigators from BtT will need to be stored in the MOM-001 top tray or elsewhere. If you do go ahead and get a MOM-003 as well, it would be empty except for the two investigators. Finally, if the one expansion you own is Streets of Arkham, Sanctum of Twilight, Horrific Journeys, or Path of the Serpent, you need the MOM-001 + MOM-004.
Product Notes
- This solution provides one (1) tray with lid and is designed to be stored inside the expansion boxes (Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories) or used externally.
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 35 minutes of assembly time. We recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This product is not officially licensed. All marks are the property of their respective owners.

Absolutely blown away with the quality of these. Not only does it store the game and pieces well but it also makes setup quicker. All the game tokens are in nice convenient trays that help keep everything organized during gameplay and help save table space. Overall really impressed with this product and will definitely be buying more for any games they make these for.

Very well designed and thought and, in general, well executed. Minis has their slots and it holds quite a few of the tiles making storage much easier. Only issue I had was that some of the holes had been cut with a slight angle to them only noticeable once an accompanying piece was inserted and was not straight. In the end, it worked and everything is nice and tightly constructed, but it did make some frustration/stressful moments when trying to build it without inadvertently breaking it. Overall, excellent quality.

So nice to have a good storage solution that fits easily into the flimsy boxes from FFG. My painted miniatures are now protected in a nicely designed box.

Any plans for an insert for the Streets of Arkham expansion? The map tiles fit into MOM-002 but there isn’t enough room for the additional figures or cards (if sleeved) in the other inserts.

These inserts are amazing, I’m hoping they make another one for the new Arkham expansion that’s coming out this month. Their customer service is also quite amazing. I needed 4 extra tabs, because I messed up, and they responded fast and shipped them out basically the next day. I highly recommend these insert for anyone trying to get into biosíntesis inserts for the first time. Their instructions are great as well.

MoM comes with many parts from the miniatures, tiles, cards, and tokens. This provides a solution that cuts down on the setup and packing up of the game with space to spare*. I can’t imagine not ever using a proper insert such as this for one of my games and highly recommend it provided it fits into your budget. Also note that you should pretty much purchase both MOM002 & MOM003 to have proper storage for any expansions you may buy.

I purchased the entire 3-kit set for Mansions of Madness, and this was probably the easiest and highest-quality set I’ve ever put together for a board game. A fun little project that can be finished in a few hours, and the final quality is really nice. I’ll definitely be coming back for any of my future storage solutions.

I purchased all three of the inserts and while I am sad that two of the investigators cannot be with the rest of the ones inside the box, it is not a deal breaker. I do hope for some kind of upgrade kit or modification that will allows us to store those two last investigators.
The quality of the box is amazing. Holds everything intelligently and keeps everything organized.

Similar to MOM-001 this is a must have for anyone who has purchased the second addition supplementary pieces.
Really easy to build and a really nice finish to the box once its completed.
