The Go7 Gaming organizer for HeroQuest (2021 edition) provides eight trays of storage for the base game, the Mythic content, as well as the Keller’s Keep and Return of the Witch Lord expansions. Our solution uses the base game box to store all components and there are a few open slots to store Commander of the Guardian Knights minis (2) and more!
Note: the revised retail printing available now is 1.5 inches shorter than the Pulse box. This means you will have ~1.5
of lid lift if you have the newest retail revision.
Our design approach with this game was to provide three large trays for base game minis and three smaller trays to store the tokens and minis for the expansions. The one exception is we provide hero storage for all heroes using one of the large base game trays. In this way you can quickly locate the components you need based on whether you are playing a base game quest or an expansion quest. All cards are stored in a shared card tray with dividers and the base game tokens are stored in a dedicated token tray that also stores the character pad.
This kit includes:
- three (3) large minis trays (for base game content)
- three (3) small minis trays (for expansion content)
- one (1) card tray (sleeved or unsleeved)
- one (1) token tray with lid (for base game content)
There is room on top of the trays for the game board and screen. Manuals are stored on top of two trays in recessed cutouts.
Product Notes
- This insert can store sleeved or unsleeved cards.
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 80 minutes of assembly time. We recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This product is not officially licensed. All marks are the property of their respective owners.

I have about an inch of lid lift when I put all of the trays in the box. Is this expected?

Can any of you post pictures or send me pictures of how to actually put the figures in the storage solution. I love the storage solution just can’t quite find out how to place the minis in it.
The recommended placement is later in the instructions PDF. I had to reference it tonight.
Step Two of the stacking order should list Large Mini Tray #1 (not 2.) Also intestinal enough some of the trays pictures are the reverse of how they actually are!…

The instructions linked on the left have a how to store everything in the box. The top pic includes all trays. The board uses the rest of the space on top.
this is only partially true while the instructions do have how to put the trays into the box 2 of the 3 images the actual mini layout is obscured by the manuals so only helpful really on the order to put the trays in the box and not what minis should go where
Shipping now. The response for this organizer has been high, so we are running a few days behind on shipping as initial stock has been depleted. We are working 16 hours a day to produce and ship the remaining orders. The order to ship time is ~3 days now. Peak order to ship time will probably hit 4 days and then shrink until all orders are filled over the next week.

I’m glad I read this before I wrote my review cause the only issue I was gonna put in there was not knowing where a lot of these things go. Now I realized…I’m just a dolt.

The overall quality of the wood and the cutting is pretty good. I had one panel where the wood didn’t seem to be cut all the way through, and it started splintering off on the back. I ended up using a razer blade to score it and help it along, which worked fine.
The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was due to the instructions. The biggest issue is there is zero guide on how to actually fill all of these trays up once they are built. There was an added page apparently (after the initial instructions) that is supposed to assist with this. But it has the quest books and other paperwork laying over the trays, which obscures the view of most of the pieces and where they go.
This is important, as some of the slots are specifically designed for certain miniatures. There are also some miniatures that only fit if they are placed in a very specific way\angle. It is frustrating to see people mention this in the comments and it still isn’t addressed.
There are also typos in the instructions, such as telling you to place mini tray 1 at the bottom, and then place mini tray 1 in the second slot as well. I was able to figure out which one was wrong by studying the corners I could see in the page photo. But it isn’t hard to fix this stuff if anyone cared to.
Prepare to spend several hours gluing. This isn’t a complaint about the product. There are just a ton of pieces here., and compared to the dozens of other board game storage systems I have purchased, this one easily had the most individual parts. Again, not a complaint – just an observation.
Once everything was assembled and I found a way to fit all the parts, I was very happy with how well it all fit together. It is a MUCH better storage solution than the vacuum formed plastic trays the game actually shipped with. The fact you can fit the expansions in there as well is a huge bonus as well.
I agree with other comments that it would be nice if the pieces inside felt like there was some sort of organization to them. I made it work best by putting the expansion packs “together” and the base game in another tray.

Order came in faster than expected. While you do have to assemble it, the pieces were cut out perfectly, making that a very simple and easy process. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much extra space was included, considering it fit all of the content in the original box as well as the add-on boxes from the mythic tier. I still have slots for extra figures! This was exactly what I was looking for and more. Super satisfied all around. I’ve bought game organizers from other companies, but GO7 might have just become my go-to based on this experience.

Looks great and keeps everything clean and orderly, the only thing I would change is I wish each section was set up for a specific group of pieces; like one tray for all the undead, one for all the orcs, one for all the heroes. etc.. I did move some things around to fit them a little differently, I like to keep a set of pencils in the box for the character sheets so I moved some figures around until that worked. And I feel like the furniture tray had a lot of open space that could have been condensed a little bit. Over all great product but could have used a little more space management.

This is my first GO7 product and I had heard they were complicated to put together damaged the game boxes and made them heavy. NONE OF THIS IS TRUE. It was a fast easy process to assemble and it organizes the game in an aesthetically pleasing way. This will not be my last GO7 order.

I now own 5 go7gaming organizers. This is my least favorite (and it’s still 4 stars). Material quality remains high: all the pieces were easy to remove and assemble with the recommended glue. The notch designs to enable large tiles/rulebooks to slot into trays are well engineered. Finally, being able to put the core game, the mythic tier upgrade, the first two expansions and still have room for an additional 2 character expansions it the core box with zero lid lift is an achievement. All together these represent a massive improvement over what came with game.
So why 4 stars?
The mini trays are engineered with very tight fits in several cases. Minis of the same type are not near each other either. Combined this can make it difficult to find the mini you need and extract it from the organizer. During clean-up, it can be a puzzle to find the minis’ original spots. I will be helping this by printing out some labels to add to the organizer. (Probably transparent printer stickers with the monster symbols from the booklets since the symbols are readily available to the mod community.) However, this doesn’t entirely correct the problem. Heroquest uses multiple sculps for some common monster types. For example, some of the orcs are taller than the others and go7gaming designed the trays such that those taller orcs only fit into specific mini spots in the trays, rather than having all the orcs have a common tray size.
Another oversight is that the photos go7gaming provides for how to use the organizer are incorrect. The terrain tray photo appears to be from an earlier designed version. The tray itself is inverted compared to how the instructions have you assemble it and the fireplace mini does not fit in the pictured space. (I swapped with one of the bookshelf cabinets in the large slot that holds the throne plus two bookshelf/cabinets.)
Again, a massive improvement to the original insert. However it suffers from being too ambitious. I would have preferred a more functional, less compact solution.
EDIT: If this ever gets a redesign a low complexity revision would be to adjust spacing of token tray. Spaces are currently ~1.5 inch for ~1 inch tokens. They should either be narrower to enable more storage or wider to enable fitting tokens side by side.

This insert is the perfect size and everything fits in it perfectly, even with sleeved cards. I love it. Assembly took a while and I used super glue instead of craft glue which seems to work very well. The lid closes completely and I know nothing will happen to the minis, it will be excellent once I get them painted. Be aware the finished insert will make your box pretty heavy, but that just speaks more to the quality of the item imo.

Card holder is great even with sleeved cards. I was able to separate Hero Cards, Hero Spells, Enemy Cards/Spells, Equipment Cards, 3 Artifact for Main/Expansions, Treasure and in the back 4 blank slots that will be used to hold each players items.

I was amazed at how quickly this arrived in the UK. Does the job far better than anything on offer this side of the pond. A fantastic design that leaves room for more figures after fitting the contents of four boxes into one!
