Our storage solution for Arkham Horror includes eleven (11) removable trays and is intended to be placed inside the publisher’s game box. This solution provides storage for all game components. The map tiles can be stored on top of the trays, in the provided optional top tray, or in another spare game box.
Arkham Horror 3rd edition posed a unique challenge with regards to the event deck dispenser. Once built, it consumes a large volume of space in the box and cardboard doesn’t last forever with heavy use. For this reason, we designed an event deck dispenser out of wood that stores within the box and functionally replaces the FFG cardboard event deck dispenser.
Our storage solution also provides a mythos token tray for use during storage and play, so you don’t need to grab an opaque cup or similar object for token drawing.
This storage solution provides:
- one (1) removable large card storage tray w/13 dividers (sleeved/unsleeved)
- one (1) removable small card storage tray w/11 dividers (sleeved/unsleeved)
- one (1) removable spare storage tray (streets, dice, activation, and plastic bases)
- one (1) removable long token tray (remnant, marker, focus tokens)
- one (1) removable token storage tray (money, clue/doom tokens)
- one (1) removable investigator/anomaly tile storage tray w/dividers
- one (1) removable investigator/scenario card storage tray (unsleeved only)
- one (1) removable health/sanity storage tray
- one (1) mythos token tray/dispenser
- one (1) event deck dispenser
- one (1) optional top tray for large map tiles
This solution provides ~2mm of free space at the top for game manuals if you do not use the optional top tray. You can store your large map tiles stacked on top, but it will provide lid lift and it is not particularly stable (i.e. – don’t stack boxes on top of this one if you do this.) You can also use the included optional top tray, which contributes ~15.5mm lid lift.
What Do You Need?
All of these notes pertain to Arkham Horror 3rd edition:If you own everything, you should grab an AH-001 and an AH-002. This will provide you with plenty of card storage if you sleeve and both custom deck dispensers we produce. We store our large map tiles in our Dead of Nights box and we assume you will too, therefore, you will not need the top tray included in the AH-001 kit.
If you own just the base game, you'll need an AH-001 and you will use the top tray included in the kit.
The current state of this solution is the AH-001 and AH-002 plus the Dead of Night box currently store everything from all released expansions through Secrets of the Order as of Aug 26, 2021. The next expansion will likely require a new organizer that will likely use the Secrets of the Order box.
Product Notes
- This solution provides eleven (11) removable trays.
- This insert can store sleeved / unsleeved small/large cards. This solution does not allow sleeved investigator/scenario cards.
- Large Cards: This insert has 279mm of large card lane storage. It can store ~996 unsleeved cards or ~558 FFG sleeved cards (.50mm per card). Keep in mind each divider will also use 3mm of card lane space. The values used for the card thickness estimate = .28mm.
- Small Cards: This insert has 174mm of small card lane storage. It can store ~600 unsleeved cards or ~355 FFG (yellow) sleeved cards (.49mm per card). Keep in mind each divider will also use 3mm of card lane space. The values used for the card thickness estimate = .29mm.
- Additional dividers for this insert are available in the EH-DIV-001 kit.
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 90 minutes of assembly time. I recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This insert kit weighs > 5 pounds, so it must be shipped USPS Priority Mail outside of Canada and the United States.
- This product is not officially licensed. All marks are the property of their respective owners.

If you got AH 3e you know that set up and clean up can be a pain. This organizer really does make set up take about 5 minutes and clean up just a little more.
Here are my 2cents:
DESIGN = 4.5/5 – Very well thought out design. There is a place for everything, including different card slots for the different Elder Gods scenarios. The only slight (very slight) issue is that the board tray causes a small lid lift. Not a big deal.
FUNCTIONALITY = 5/5 – Like I said, set up and clean up are improved dramatically. Why fiddle around with little baggies? What are we savages?
EXPANDABILITY = 3.5/5 – There is definitely room for expansions but only a couple. If we know FFG it’s just a matter of time before we will need to add to this organizer for this box (with more lift) or get a different one for another box. But I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it… that could still be a year or two away.
QUALITY = 5/5 – I am always impressed with G7G inserts. They use MFD instead of plywood like most others. This makes a big difference because the cuts are cleaner and you don’t have to deal with splintered edges.
VALUE = 5/5 – Almost all of G7G inserts are a better value that the other guy (you know who I’m talking about 😉 ) and this is no exception. This insert is a great deal considering what all you get – including a new sturdy Event Deck holder that replaces the flimsy cardboard one.
So stop using Plano boxes and plastic baggies for goodness sakes!
THE ELDER GODS DEMAND YOU BUY THIS INSERT… NOW!!!!!!!!!!

…while it holds the core game nicely when sleeved with premium card sleeves there is not enough room in the large card tray for Dead of Night with it also sleeved. Hoping that the rumored Under Dark Waters Organizer will take this into account and add another card organizer with sufficient space to get all of the cards into one or two boxes without issue.
For the moment my Archive is in a baggie in the map tray as a work around.

Everything about my purchase from Go7Gaming was good.
* Order was received in a timely manor and without issues
* Price is good for what you get
* The organizer fit perfectly into the AH box and has space for everything and some room for expansions
* Makes setup/teardown much easier and faster with having places to store everything
* The insert was not hard or difficult to put together but does require glue
I would highly recommend this insert for anyone who wants to stay organized and save yourself time when setting up the game and for easy storage afterward.

This storage solution for Arkham Horror 3rd Edition is exactly what anyone needs who wants to drastically decrease the amount of time it takes to setup, hit the table and start gaming! All components fit in the FFG game box and if you use the optional top tray to store the rules and tiles just note that you will see some lid lift. Using this optional tray though I am still able to store the game vertically with no trouble at all. After several games, prior to getting these storage trays, I noticed that the included card board event deck holder supplied by FFG started to show signs of wear and was concerned about just how long that would last before falling apart. My concerns seem to have been shared with Go7Gaming because I was thrilled to see they already had this in mind from the start, and included the event deck holder in their design!! The wood version will greatly outlast the cardboard one. I also love the mythos storage being that is can double as the Mythos Cup as well, which is just brilliant!! I completely recommend this to anyone looking for the best storage solution for Arkham Horror 3rd Edition.
