This insert, designed for use with the large Zombicide expansion boxes from Season #2/#3, allows for the tiles and components from both Season expansions to be stored in one insert.  This is a great insert to consider if you want to reduce your collection from five big boxes to four and you don’t own all of the Kickstarter extra minis (or don’t mind that they won’t all fit in the four boxes.)  This insert provides four (4) removable trays (2x large trays for grouped minis storage, 1x long tray for card, minis, and more, 1x small tray), one (1) token tray for use during setup and play, and a map tile base with miniatures storage.

Please note:  the images on this page include expansion components to give you a better idea of the massive storage capacity of this insert system.  Obviously, game components are not included, nor are the etched dividers and tabs that list expansion numbers.  Etched expansion dividers and tabs are available in the ZOMB-ENG-001 kit.  We do provide etched dividers and tabs for base game components in each insert kit.  Also, please note that this kit includes etched dividers for the long storage tray for base cards, as well as the eleven numbered expansions and the team deck.

Zombicide is a big game system with five big boxes (as of Sep 26, 2015) and 11+ small box expansions published, as well as miscellaneous items.  We spent many weeks working to design a flexible system that can store your full collection or just a single base game.  The result is our collection of four large inserts and four additional accessories.  Our inserts and accessories allow you to store everything within the larger game system.  Our large inserts share a few common design points:

• a tile storage area that also provides six mini storage compartments.  You can easily store two minis per compartment, for a total of twelve stored minis in the tile tray.
• a token box for storing play and setup items
• a small storage tray for card trackers clips or other small items
• small card storage bin(s)
• miniatures storage trays
• etched dividers and etched tabs for organizing large collections and keeping everything in order

The Zombicide series uses three unique box sizes, so which insert you choose matters. The Season #1 and #3 base boxes share the same box size and the ZOMB-BASE-001 insert is designed to fit inside these boxes.  The Season #2 box requires our ZOMB-BASE-002 insert due to its slightly smaller dimensions.  The large box expansion for Season #2 and #3 require either our ZOMB-EXP-001 or ZOMB-EXP-002 inserts.  The ZOMB-EXP-001 insert is designed to allow for the storage of the tiles from the large box expansions, which will allow you to collapse your two expansion boxes down to one, but only if you don’t own all of the Kickstarter bonus minis.  If you do own all of the Kickstarter bonus minis, you should probably stick with the ZOMB-EXP-002 inserts.  They offer deeper minis trays and more storage.

If you own everything (big boxes and small boxes and perhaps have extra minis from backing the Kickstarter,) you will need an insert for each of your large boxes.  A full collection, lacking Kickstarter bonus/extra minis, will have some minis storage space left over.  If you have Kickstarter bonus minis and extras, you will have a little space left over, but not much.

We have a few recommendations to help you grab the right inserts to store your game(s):

• You own everything (Kickstarter)  – buy 2x of (ZOMB-BASE-001), 1x of (ZOMB-BASE-002), 2x of ZOMB-EXP-002.  Also, perhaps 1x of (ZOMB-BASE1-LCARD-001) for large cards and 1x of (ZOMB-ENG-001) for the etched dividers and tabs for the expansions.  You can forego the large card tray if you want.  There will be space across your inserts to store the large cards, but they won’t be together.  You can also forego the ZOMB-ENG-001 etched dividers, but you won’t have etched tabs for your expansions nor etched dividers for those expansion cards.  This solution provides enough space across the five boxes to store all of the large box components, small box expansion components, and Kickstarter extras!  This solution will store your total collection in five boxes (3 base boxes and 2 expansion boxes.  No space savings here, but your collection will be the envy of everyone and will setup fast!)
• You own everything (retail)  – buy 2x of (ZOMB-BASE-001), 1x of (ZOMB-BASE-002), 1x of ZOMB-EXP-001.  Also, perhaps 1x of (ZOMB-BASE1-LCARD-001) for large cards and 1x of (ZOMB-ENG-001) for the etched dividers and tabs for the expansions.  You can forego the large card tray if you want.  There will be space across your inserts to store the large cards, but they won’t be together.  You can also forego the ZOMB-ENG-001 etched dividers, but you won’t have etched tabs for your expansions nor etched dividers for those expansion cards.  This solution provides enough space across the four boxes to store all of the large box components and small box expansion components!  This solution will store your total collection in just four boxes (3 base boxes and 1 expansion box.)  This solution will also work if you don’t mind if some of your extra Kickstarter minis won’t fit inside the four boxes.
• You own a single Season with a large box expansion – grab a ZOMB-BASE-001 (Seasons #1, #3) or a ZOMB-BASE-002 (Season #2).  Next, grab either ZOMB-EXP-001 or ZOMB-EXP-002.  ZOMB-EXP-001 is designed to allow two large box expansions to be stored in one box; specifically all of the tiles.  This is a great solution if you only have a couple of the small box minis expansions.  ZOMB-EXP-002 is designed to store the tiles from a single large box expansion, unlike ZOMB-EXP-001.
• You own a single Season base box – grab a ZOMB-BASE-001 (Seasons #1, #3) or a ZOMB-BASE-002 (Season #2).  You will have room left for a couple of small box minis expansions.
• You own a couple of Seasons – You will want to buy the proper base inserts [ZOMB-BASE-001 (Seasons #1, #3) / ZOMB-BASE-002 (Season #2)] and expansion inserts (ZOMB-EXP-001 / ZOMB-EXP-002) to account for your collection.  This solution will also provide some room for a couple of small box minis expansions.

We encourage you to inspect the images for each of the four inserts.  It will give you a very good idea of how much can be stored across this line of inserts.

We offer four accessories for our line of inserts sized for the Zombicide boxes:

• ZOMB-BASE1-LCARD-001 – this large card storage tray provides storage for the large cards in Season #3 and the Experience Deck.  This accessory fits inside the ZOMB-BASE-001 insert and takes the place of one of the three included small bins (small card or mini bins).  It isn’t strictly needed if you have a full collection and will be building inserts for all of your large boxes; you will be able to store your large cards in a variety of places across the large inserts.  Your choice.
• ZOMB-BASE1-SCARD-001 – this small card storage tray isn’t really needed in most cases.  If you have a single Zombicide game and the team deck, you might want this.  This accessory fits inside the ZOMB-BASE-001 insert and takes the place of one of the three included small bins (small card or mini bins).
• ZOMB-BASE2-SCARD-001 – this small card storage tray isn’t really needed in most cases.  If you have a single Zombicide game and the team deck, you might want this.  This accessory fits inside the ZOMB-BASE-002 insert and takes the place of one of the three included small bins (small card or mini bins).
• ZOMB-ENG-001 – these etched dividers and tabs provide etchings to categorize expansion cards and minis.  If you have one or more of the small box expansions, you might want to consider getting this accessory.  We include etched dividers for both base inserts and etched tabs for use across all of the inserts.
• So, to sum up, if you have a full collection and will be building inserts for all of your large boxes, you probably want to grab a ZOMB-ENG-001 kit and you might want to grab a ZOMB-BASE1-LCARD-001 kit.  The other two accessories are very situational.

Product Notes

• This insert provides four (4) removable trays (2x large trays, 1x long tray, 1x small tray), one (1) token tray for use during setup and play, and a map tile base with miniatures storage. There is clearance at the top for your rulebooks.
• All trays used to store minis feature tab cutouts that allow for etched tabs to identify the contents of the compartment.
• This insert can store sleeved or unsleeved cards.  Recommended sleeves include Ultra Pro Deck Protector, Mayday Premium, Dragon Shields, and FFG sleeves.
• This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
• Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 35 minutes of assembly time. I recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
• This insert kit weighs > 2 pounds, so it must be shipped USPS Priority Mail outside of Canada and the United States.
