Our storage solution for Forbidden Stars includes thirteen (13) removable trays, including four (4) player faction trays, and is intended to be placed inside the publisher game box (FFG). This is one of our largest storage solutions, providing a roomy and complete storage/play solution for your copy of Forbidden Stars . The approach we employed with this design was to provide a dedicated faction tray for each set of faction components. This allows you to simply hand each player a tray and begin setup.
This storage solution includes etched resource names in the trays to indicate the location for each component so you will never wonder where something should be stored.
This storage solution provides:
- four (4) removable faction storage trays for storage of cards, minis, and tokens (using a small token tray with lid that stores inside each faction tray). Each faction tray includes three (3) wooden dividers to separate faction cards by type.
- one (1) removable top tray that provides storage for faction mats and rulebooks
- one (1) removable tile tray for map tile storage
- one (1) large, removable tray to store round tracker and the following minis: factories, bastions, cities
- two (2) removable, stacking token trays with lid to store your tokens, dice, and warp tokens
Product Notes
- This solution provides thirteen (13) removable trays.
- This insert can store sleeved (FFG, Ultra Pro, etc.) or unsleeved cards.
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 80 minutes of assembly time. I recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This insert kit weighs > 6 pounds, so it must be shipped USPS Priority Mail outside of Canada and the United States.
- This product is not officially licensed. All marks are the property of their respective owners.

Construction was really easy, the mdf wood used seems to make better cuts than the birch some other competitors use. The instructions were easy to follow, the design has many elegant solutions to the problems of storage and quick setup.
I would recommend this product to anyone!

You’re getting what you paying for.
It’s a beautiful insert, the finish is excellent, sturdy and solid, it just feels high quality, very well thought out. Separating by factions actually makes the game easier to teach in a strange way, no more overwhelming amount of bags and containers. Same faction containers can work as your deck holders and so forth. Whole thing simply saves table space too, clean up and setup times are drastically reduced as each player simply needs to put away their faction. I know it may seem like i’m praising it without limit, but I saw lack of reviews for this and I know many will be on the fence because of price point, that will be a barrier to entry for some, but if you’re on the fence and need that extra push, hopefully this will do it.

Are the reviews gone because this doesn’t fit sleeved cards? I am quite annoyed that it doesn’t. Quite an expensive insert with such a glaring mistake and plenty of room to fix as well.

Actually comments were turned off on this and a few other products, however, there were no reviews before yours. The insert handles sleeves fine, but the v1 release did not handle oversized sleeves (FFG, etc.). Ultra Pro clears and similar snug fitting sleeves work fine. The v2 revision (orders after Dec 16, 2016) of this product has expanded card space and FFG sleeves now fit fine as well.

Since I pretty only use FFG sleeves, do I need to wait till after Dec 16, 2017 before I can make an order for this?

Ah, that year should have read 2016. The design was updated almost a year ago. You are all set to use FFG sleeves.
