This insert is designed to fit inside the core Legendary Marvel Deckbuilding box (not Villains or Encounters). Just one insert can easily store Legendary, the two released expansions, and more! This insert is designed for use with cards that are not sleeved.
Product Notes
- This insert provides four (4) organizational lanes for vertical card storage. There is enough clearance at the top for rulebooks. If you store your game board in the box, the top will not close fully, but it is well supported by the board.
- External dimensions: 280mm x 280mm x 95mm high (11.02″ x 11.02″ x 3.74″ high) and provides 1.3mm of clearance for rulebooks at the top. The game board is 12.7mm thick so you will have ~ 11.4mm of lift if you store the board in the box.
- This insert has 1112mm of card lane storage. It can store ~3834 unsleeved cards. Keep in mind each acrylic divider will also use 2.286mm of card lane space. The values used for the card thickness estimate = .29mm.
- This insert has narrow lanes due to the size of the box and the four lane design.
- Image is of prototype using 3mm Baltic Birch. Production insert uses HDF wood product.
- This insert is constructed of HDF (wood product) and is natural colored. HDF does not contain a wood grain as it is a constructed wood product.
- Includes fifteen (15) clear acrylic dividers (model LEG-DIV-003). Additional divider packs of type LEG-DIV-003 should be used. The DIV-003 design is a t-shirt divider.
- Insert assembly requires some wood glue and about 15 minutes of assembly time. I recommend Sobo Craft glue or another comparable quick setting, tacky glue.
- This is a third-party, non-licensed product.

The description for this product says that it works with Ultra Pro Deck Protector sleeves, but some of the reviews say otherwise. Currently I use the Ultra pro Deck Protector Sleeves Standard’s for all my cards. I Have Base, Dark City, Fear Itself, Secret War’s Vol 1, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Will this product work ok?

This is a nice set, well made and easy to set up. Fits nice into the box and looks great. Only down side is that if you have all of the expansions you will need several sets (at least 5) of the dividers, which come in packs of 15.

The insert looks great and fits nicely into the box. It was easy to build. There were a few things I have issues with. Despite these problems I do like the insert and will probably keep using it if I can find a reasonable work around for #3.
1: the wood smells bad, not sure what wood is used but it was surprisingly stinky.
2: the pieces fit only loosely together so it was hard to do a dry run. You need to glue and his the pieces together until the glue dries
3: the dividers are the t-shirt type. The arms that slide into the wood lanes take the full depth, so you can’t put two dividers in neighboring rows. The effect is wasted space. For example in the image shown on this product page, note the entire second lane to the right is empty. That is because every slot in the right most lane is being used, so no slots are available. This happens a lot with this game because each hero has its own set of cards, so there is need for a lot of small divisions. I think the only way to get a complete set with expansions is to not organize by individual, but instead group several characters together.

I’ll admit I haven’t bought this organizer, but having used other brands’ organizers/dividers for Legendary, Dominion, and others, one idea for #3: take an exacto knife, dremel, bench grinder, or something of the sort, and cut/remove the top off the t-shirt-tab on one side of each dividers, then you can “stack” the tabs in the same slot in adjacent columns (this is the approach used by another brand in the first place, though some I’ve seen just use two pieces of wood for each lane, so dividers can sit next to each other without having to stack / remove/insert both when moving them between slots). Just an idea from another gaming/organization nerd.

Looks great and went together great with a little glue. My only issue was that the cards did not fit when sleeved with Ultra Pro sleeves. which was a bummer since they were all sleeved. Oh well, I need organization more than I need sleeves!

Doesn’t fit when cards are sleeved. Do not recommend

It may lot fit larger card sleeves, but ultra pro sleeves work.

Hello, I was wondering if the math below looked correct for this insert?
LEG-002 Capacity: 1111.68mm (3834 Unsleeved Cards @ .29mm each)
Acrylic Dividers: 2.286mm each
500 Legendary: Base Game
350 Legendary: Dark City
100 Legendary: Paint the Town Red
100 Legendary: Guardians of the Galaxy
370 Legendary: Civil War
350 Legendary: Secret Wars Vol 1
350 Legendary: Secret Wars Vol 2
100 Legendary: Captain America
100 Legendary: Deadpool
500 Legendary: Villains
100 Legendary: Fear Itself
2920 Total Cards
15 Dividers (divided by broad type: hero, mastermind, villain group, etc.)
NOTE: Printed 110lb card stock dividers will be used for individual heroes, etc.
2920 Total Cards = 846.8mm
15 Dividers = 34.29mm
Total Space Used = 881.09mm
Remaining Space = 230.59mm (Less whatever the printed card stock dividers take up.)

This is my second one. (I tend to collect all of the sets). The cards fit when sleeved with the ultra pro sleeves. I also had 2 extra sets of dividers which worked great. Neither the board or mat will fit in the box with this setup.

I was skeptical because of the reviews regarding the ultra-pro sleeves because that is what I have sleeved my cards with. I went ahead and purchased to give it a try because let’s face it, as the expansions grow, the transport is cumbersome. The insert worked just as I had hoped. The ultra pros are a tight fit, but they do fit and can be fit without placing the cards slightly at an angle. I am very pleased. I have the base set, Dark City, SW1 & SW2, Fantastic Four, Guardians and Paint the Town Red in the box along with the 28 cards for the 3D Man-Thing and Howard the Duck and the 20 cards for the 3D Henchman and I have 10 extra Maria Hills. Should be a total of 1908 cards. The Captain America Expansion would have fit but it would not have allowed a lot of room to get cards out of the insert. I have it and Civil War in the Civil War box for now. My plan is to try to obtain another base box(just the box) and then get another insert from Go7Gaming.

So with this divider, is it possible to still include the play mat to the box?

Per the description: “If you store your game board in the box, the top will not close fully, but it is well supported by the board.” -Cheers!

I don’t sleeve so size with sleeves isn’t an issue for me. This insert holds a ton of cards, I don’t think I even know my card count in my head but it’s got to be more than 1000 more than the base box. I used NO GLUE. The fit is snug and glue was totally unnecessary. Get plenty of dividers. You probably need more than you think…

I didn’t realize until after receiving this that this one is NOT for sleeved cards. It’s in the description, but you have to read the entire thing. So after receiving it, I went ahead and ordered LEG-001.
In the meantime I went ahead and put it together, thinking I’ll just use it for another game (DC Deck-building Game). Once assembled I found that my Legendary cards DO fit (sleeved with Sleeve Kings), so I’m happy to have this, as LEG-002 has 4 rows, which will hold more cards than LEG-001, which only has 3.
The reason for 2 stars is the dividers. The LEG-003 dividers that came with this DO NOT fit in this organizer at all. They are both too wide to fit in the rows and too thick to slide into the slots. So I have this nice big organizer, but no dividers at all for it. I was thinking I might order more dividers, but not if they don’t fit.

Do you have a way to show more pictures of the unit with the sleeves? We use sleeve kings too, but I was balking at this because it says it doesn’t work with sleeved cards.

I have used this insert with sleeve kings and it’s tight but they do fit.

I have purchased organizers for Marvel’s Legendary from other sources and I won’t be going back to them for any future organizer needs.
Everything about this organizer impresses. The acrylic dividers don’t slip from their position. The wooden pieces are so precisely cut that they nearly snap together. The bottom makes this extremely solid when put together and placed in the box.
Go7 Gaming will be the first and last place I look for organizers going forward.
